history

The Harvard was manufactured as an AT-6C-NT by North American at Dallas, Texas, USA in 1941 with the United States Army Air Force with s/n 41-32862 and spent WWII as a training aircraft with the USAF at various locations and postwar she continued in service. In 1949 the Harvard was selected to be rebuilt to T6-G standard by North American at Downey, CA.USA. and it returned to USAF Service with the new serial 49-3186.

The aircraft was next noted as civil registered N2893G with Lonnie D. Clark, Brownfield TX from 1963 to 1966 when it transferred to Clarks Aerial Service, Brownsville TX and then in 1972 it passed into the care of Sharon A. Sharp, Southfield MI.  In 1976 Steven Seghetti of Vacaville, CA acquired the aircraft, registered as N1751 and it remained with him until acquired by Col Pay in 1984.

During its time in the USA the Harvard attended many airshows and received several awards for the quality of its restoration. A former Oshkosh award winner and one of the original Pay’s Warbird fleet, it is a beautiful example of a trainer. The Harvard is flown often and certainly looks the part in its bare metal USAAC Moffat Field scheme although it never served with the US Navy, spending all its service life in the USAF.
